Hello there.

Kenobi serious for a moment...?

Welcome to my blog. If you're reading this, thank you already.

I plan to use this blog for many things... to provide resources and task ideas that wouldn't fit elsewhere on the site, to discuss curriculum changes, to offer suggestions and thoughts on pedagogy, to signpost readers to far better teachers/researchers/humans than me. Who knows, I might even practise some stand-up comedy. (Or how to differentiate between 'practise' and 'practice', a distinction which still causes me confusion after 41 years on this rock.)

If anything I post here intrigues, offends or provokes a response, that's brilliant! I am (almost) always open to new ideas, counters and alternative ways to look at things. You can get involved at https://x.com/MathEVmaticsUK - or you can just watch. Either way, I hope something I post here validates your own praxis (that's a funky way to avoid the practice/practise issue!) or causes you to question it (just like reading research and articles by people like Craig Barton, Ross Morrison McGill, Doug Lemov, Dylan William and others causes me to constantly question and re-evaluate my own teaching)!
