As a mother of a Year 9 student who has been taught by Craig for the past three years, I cannot speak highly enough of the positive impact he has had on my child’s learning journey. Mr Evans taught me Mathematics from KS3 all the way through to my final A-Level exams, and I can say with absolute certainty that I wouldn’t be where I am today without his support, belief, and dedication. He wasn’t just a teacher, he was a mentor who constantly pushed me beyond what I thought was possible and helped me discover the confidence I didn’t know I had.

I still remember sitting my Year 8 exams and receiving a grade 5. At the time, I had the option to join either set 1 or set 2. I was hesitant, unsure of my abilities, but Mr Evans encouraged me to take the challenge and choose set 1. Although it was tough at first, it turned out to be one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made. With his support, I ended up obtaining a grade 7, a result that felt impossible previously.

Mr Evans inspired me to continue with the subject at A-Level and never once let me doubt my decision. A-Level Mathematics was a turning point for me. It made me realise my passion for problem-solving that ultimately led me to pursue a degree in Engineering. I loved the idea of applying Mathematical concepts to real-world scenarios, and it was Mr Evans who helped me see that connection.

What truly sets Mr Evans apart is the time and energy he invests in his students. I’ll never forget the hours he spent during breaks, after school and even during school holidays, patiently explaining difficult concepts in ways that made them click. His passion for teaching is evident, and his classroom was always a space where learning felt exciting and rewarding.

Today, I’m on track to earn my Engineering degree and currently completing my placement year with Babcock International. I also tutor GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, and I still find myself using the methods, shortcuts, and approaches I learned from Mr Evans. His influence hasn’t just shaped my academic journey but also the way I teach and approach problems in my professional life.

I truly cannot recommend a better Mathematics teacher. Having a teacher like Mr Evans really makes all the difference. I feel incredibly lucky to have been taught by him for over 5 years, and I’ll forever be grateful for the role he played in my journey. Thank you Mr Evans!
